A not most heard form of Durga yet a beautiful form of devi, who is revered as the Shakthi of vedas. The Durga form is by nature represents the essence of the extremities. In lalitha Sahasranama Durga is explained as “Jwalamaalini” she who manifested from the breathe of lalitha Tripura Sundari. Breathe symbolises the essence. Durga is a diety of essence rather than the form. In these days, Durga is more revered as an intense and ferocious. In reality, Durga is more of an essence than the form.

The term “jatavedo” literally means that which has manifested by itself. Jatavedo Durga is a form of Durga symbolising. the essence and the power of vedas. Vedas are the knowledge. The significance and the glory of knowledge relies solely on what the knowledge can do to the person who possesses it. So the jatavedo Durga is considered as a form symbolising that essence and power of vedas. Gayathri also symbolises the vedas but gayathri is more considered as the consciousness which holds the knowledge and jatavedo Durga symbolises the very essence that makes a knowledge high in esteem.
