AN OVERVIEW OF A RITUAL DAY !!!

Each and every prayoga yagyam is a handcrafted event. There is a lot of technical stuffs going in, in terms of mantra, tantra and yantra. In my opinion, more than the technical part the effort to bring the visualisation and the vibe real is really a tough task. I am glad that the visualisation is made real each time. People have always been satisfied with the rituals and have reaped the benefits of attending,contributing and both !!! Here is a small insight on the procedure !!!

A prayoga yagyam starts with framing a prayoga for the deity. The word Prayoga means application. The knowledge of mantra,tantra and yantra as i learned from my master for whom i succeeded, is applied in an extensive and deep way to explore the world of yagyam and to solve the problems of the people. These yagyams cant be done by an individual. There are two main reason behind this, one is the rituals and the eligibilities are too tough for a normal person to follow just for a yagyam !!! It is like climbing a 20 km trek just because a person wished to exercise after a long time. Second is the cost, however in a minimal circumstance it would cost an annual salary of an above average professional for one yagyam. As i always say may be these are complicated but results have always proved the amount of work put in is really worth it or to say yagyams exceed expectations !!! After fixing date,time and the nature of the prayoga using astrology and the deva prasannam( a mystical way of confirming with the deity prayed). Now the work starts on the day of prayoga, generous donors have always supported for the cause. Then the prayoga happens in a three phase !!!

Poorvanga prayoga !

In this phase the kalasam is kept using all the ritualistic procedures and the deity is contemplated and mantras are chanted to make the ambience vibrant and to energise the kalasams and then a pooja is done for the deity !!!

YAGYAM

The main part and the interesting part. This is the phase of fire rituals. Mantras are chanted and the offerings are given in the fire. The main thing is the person performing the prayogam will also mention the names of people and their problems to be sorted out and the incantations are made. These are not definitely shouted. It is done in an aesthetic way. People will only hear the sound of mantras chanted !!!

Uttaranga yagyam !

This is the phase where the kalasa abishekam and the final offerings are done and the ceremony is wrapped up. These water pots called as kalasam are highly energised these waters are then bathed to the idols of the deities to energise them.
